cozy days with a $7 sweater

On Monday him&her headed to Old Navy with our Groupon. We broke up & went straight to clearance to make the most of our coupon. How we roll. I found a $50 sweater marked down to $15. BUT with my coupon it cost me $7. Score.
Please disregard the undone hair. I told you I was cozy. jeans: forever21 shirt & slippers: target necklace: circa my girl scout days
So with the chilly weather present in Texas these days, it makes it quite cozy while I edit away. Can we please talk about what we saw while at Old Navy. Okay first, they don't always have cute stuff, we have to dig for things we like. Throw in clearance & we may look like we are digging to China. Don't mind us. Look at this, this, this, this & this. I mean even he was excited. We both agreed we should just buy them & one day our future little boy would fit into them. Right? Crazy!

weekend recap + us with guns

Our Thanksgiving weekend was just what it should have been. We ate. We snuggled. We watched movies. We hung out with friends. We met some amazing people. I did a little photo shoot. We ate more. Then we ate pumpkin pie like it was air. It was pretty much perfect. Next year babe I promise to make lasagna from scratch though, AND your blueberry pie with french vanilla ice cream on top. Promise. Did I forget to mention hot cider? Oh the hot cider.

We were lucky to spend a couple days meeting our friends family on their 1000 acre Texas ranch this past weekend as well. It was simply beautiful. The guys were in boy scout heaven during their skeet shooting adventures. I do believe McCall was too. Let's just say, I was better at petting the donkey.
Now are you ready for WAY too many photos?
Our friends families are just as sweet as our friends.
Then it was off to shoot Alex's grandpa's rifle. side note: this was the first time Alex shot it.
But first we shoot the pistol his mom gave us. Yeah she's a bada$$. Like McCall.
Me, not so much. "How do you hold this thang?"
Let this be a lesson to know the power of your own gun. For it can hurt you. Don't worry, everyone is okay but someone (he) left with a small boo boo.
Casey took this opportunity to have his own rifle photo shoot.
We are so grateful for the people in our life. AND for pumpkin pie & hot cider.

tight pants

How hot are these ladies? Yeah pretty darn! P.S. can I get their clothes in my size? You know the "Thanksgiving, I stuffed myself until my jean button popped" size.  I hope everyone is enjoying their extra tight pants this weekend. We sure are.

p-nutty hits the double digits

Peanut, P-Nutty, Peanut Butter, Nutty, Nutty Buddy, Monster, Fraggle Rock, Nutter Butter, P-Rock, P-Putt IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!!! Our little cling-on turned 10 today. Where has the time gone my little girl? I still remember that scared pup who peed on my coat when we first picked you up & brought you to your new home. You have become quite the traveler & little supervisor of the family. Mommy & daddy love you for all your good & bad habits. Yes we love all of you. Sugar told me to write, "Peanut you are the best big sister in the whole world. But when you let me ride your back when daddy carries us{stacks us}, that's when I love you most." Happy Birthday Peanut. Diez never looked so cute.
I do believe your guests have arrived.
Okay even if you don't like wearing your birthday hat you must admit, mommy made you a cute one, right!? You know better, just wag your tail.
Cheers to your nacho party tonight our sweet little furry girl. That's right, you better get a nap in, it's gonna be a crazy one! Chips & cheese a flyin'. We love you Peanut.

bossy design lady in the house

Wow yesterday was awesome. We headed to our friends house to help get ready for a house concert they were throwing for Levi Weaver & Estelline. I was in craft/bossy design lady mode. Totally dig that. Love that my friends let me get that way without disowning me. He was wrapping their home in lights & drilling holes in my other DIY projects. I will share more soon but here is a small peek. We are busy around here today, I feel like it's our Monday.
Tomorrow is a very special day! Come back & you will see. Happy Tuesday to ya.

weekend recap

Can I start this out with, I do realize every time you, our awesome readers stop by it looks different around here. I know it's a bit much but I swear I found my design look for this here blog & it's sticking around this time. I was inspired by my newest feather creation.
Now for the weekend recap. We found the secret to holiday grocery shopping. Shop at midnight. The store is all yours. The shelves were even filled ready for Sunday morning. You should see my fresh green beans. Green baby green. Only downside, boxes kinda everywhere. Nothing is perfect.
Before that midnight shopping date I had a photo shoot that was located on a 744 acre piece of land, McKinney Falls State Park. Loved it. Loved.it. Mother nature your pretty is something I can't get enough of. Nope. Or the cuteness of my couple. Oh the color of love.
The little ones continued their cuteness & their never ending naps. A dogs life.
Then there was... Friends Thanksgiving!! Where Becca pulled out her inner Martha Stewart. Look at that turkey cheese ball. Over the years friends thanksgiving has sure changed. The once show stopper margarita machine has now been hidden on the side of the house. A kids bounce house as taken over. Pretty much we were the only ones without a kiddo. Little Flower is a must have next year. Babe really do we wanna be the losers at the party. I didn't think so.
This weekends star being Jeremy's smoked & deep fried turkey. I loved the veggies, of course. AND my mister made his oh.so.yummy fried rice this weekend too.
I hope your weekend was fun filled & your belly is ready for this Thursday. Ours sure is! Gobble Gobble.

you had me at pumpkin pie

Hey there blog I missed ya yesterday. But the house is now clean & ready for the weekend. I got in some quality time with him & we saw some pretty cool peeps yesterday too. I am also currently typing from my new desk, which is huge by the way. How is it that my 27inch iMac doesn't look big? Weird? I'm thinking of holding a party NOT in the office BUT at my desk. This weekend it's the annual Friends Thanksgiving. We are bringing the pumpkin pie. Oh yeah! Pretty much this weekend rules.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays & it makes me sad that it gets overlooked by Christmas. We are thankful for so much & we can't wait to stuff our faces to celebrate it. Happy Weekend to ya.

the strawberries said so

This sat before us at breakfast & I could see the days goodness all over it. Today we checked some big tasks off our home to-do list. The carport is now to my standards. I have high standards in the clean department. Ask him. He'll roll his eyes, throw up his hands & then agree. But the man lives in a clean home. You're welcome babe. Another check, my new desk is now in my office & ready to take over that sore thumb. Eek. Here is the best part, the whole reason for this post. Before I tell you, I have to tell you this. I believe if I write it in this here blog than it's locked in like a binding contract. It's true. He said if we sell the house for a certain price than we get to begin the little flower process. Little flower you ask? Well you see I have baby fever kinda bad & I already picked out a nickname for my future baby bump. So there it is, the house has to sell for $xxx, xxx.xxx & then I get a little flower. It's officially a binding contract babe. Let's get this build going.. chop-chop!
